Task 1
Contemporary art can be defined variously as art produced at this present point in time or art produced since world war II. The definition of the word contemporary would support the first view, but museums of contemporary art commonly define their collections as consisting of art produced since World War II.
Task 2
This contemporary piece of art was painted by Pat Hanly. I like this painting because of the background and the fire on the side because of all the different colors that were used.
Task 3
Lex Benson Cooper is a famous New Zealand Artist. He was born in 1953 and lives in Napier. He is a contemporary artist. I like the painting he painted called Quarter Acre. It took him 16 days to paint it. I like it because of all the shading in the
fruits and the table. I also liked the background.
