'The Arrival' From page to stage.

The lights dimed and everyone went quite, the whole year 7/8 senior syndicate sat in the front rows of the Oprea House. We were on a school trip in town to come and see Shaun Tans 'The Arrival'.

The arrival is originally a graphic novel by Australian writer Shaun Tan. Which has been transformed int a spectacular and emotional stage play by the Red Leap Theater troupe. Leaving behind his wife and child, a man seeks better prospects in a foreign land. Baffeled by indeclpherable languages, perculer customs , cruious animals and dazzeling architecture, e serches for accomedation, food and work. 'The Arrival' is a heartwarming tale of hardship, humanity and hope.

The play is just like stepping into the book all the building are on were on wheels transforming into different shapes. The puppets were very lifelike how they moved and sounded. It was a magical land of flying ships, exotic birds and traveling balloons.
